The Pharmacovigilance Committee at Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (AIMS&RC) plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety by monitoring, reporting, and evaluating adverse drug reactions (ADRs). In line with national and global drug safety regulations, our committee functions as a vital part of the healthcare system by promoting rational drug use, early detection of adverse effects, and continuous education for healthcare professionals.
We operate under the guidance of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI), coordinated by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Objective:
• To generate awareness about ADRs amongst healthcare providers and students of the institute by different activities.
• To identify ADRs accruing in patients coming to the institute for treatment and to report the same to the appropriate authorities.
• To carry out assessment of ADRS on priority basis.
• To undertake scientific & research activities pertaining to ADRs.
